The Dream

Ben and Hien are the masterminds from Happy Way, and two guys in the fitness industry who were sick of seeing protein that was masculine, meaning women were sometimes intimidated to use it. They created a few different flavours of all-natural, unsweetened protein powders and wanted to market it to women in particular - supermums and on-the-go high-flying corporates to understand that they can have a happy, healthy life.

 

The Do

Happy Way came to us with a great name so we created strong branding to go with it, using vibrant colours and a simple logo that incorporates a smile to represent happiness. Our copywriter wrote some poems to go on the packaging with choice phrases that would appeal to their target market but also stand out from the crowd in its fun nature, such as ‘period o’clock’, ’3.30itis’ and ‘slay the tired monster’. Our illustrator then hand drew pictures to go with the phrases and put the packaging design together in collage-style. We also came up with a tagline ‘Powders to unlock the universe’ playing on the word ‘power’ and created fun names for the different flavoured proteins, such as ‘Top of the Choc’ and ‘Choc Pea Princess’ (which is a vegan version).
